Last week 3rd graders picked out their pumpkin at the pumpkin patch -- this week they were able to paint them! Before painting though, students had to visualize their character and painting before applying the paint!!

We are excited to support The Barrel House's all-day Hungry Hearts Fundraiser benefiting the Angel Fund, which helps ensure every student in the Sioux Falls School District has access to a meal. Come out and enjoy some great food, fun activities (dunk tanks, bouncy house, axe throwing, and more!), and make a difference for our students! Hope to see you there!

The Summer Meals Program starts tomorrow and will run from Thursday, May 29th through Friday, August 8th. Meals will be served Monday through Friday including breakfast and lunch. The meals are FREE for all children ages 1-18. There are several locations throughout the summer including Terry Redlin Elementary!

Did you hear about our last Welcome Wednesday? It was Mascot Day! Students were greeted at the door by mascots from USF, Augustana, Prairie Farms, the Sioux Falls Canaries, and our very own Terry the Eagle!

Shout out to our attendance liaison Rochelle for putting together fun activities throughout the year for our students to celebrate improving attendance! This year, students participated in inflatable races, duct taping staff to a wall, basketball activities, fishing, and so much more! Thank you to our parents/guardians for helping get students to school. We have improved our attendance this year at Terry Redlin!

Students with perfect attendance had fun on Friday duct taping Miss Ashley, school lead clerical, and Mrs. Hansen, 3rd grade teacher to the wall! This was part of our fishing challenge for the 4th quarter so students also enjoyed a snack of gummy worms and goldfish! Miss Ashley and Mrs. Hansen had to wiggle their way out of the duct tape when it was all done! Way to go students and congratulations for your outstanding attendance!
