I was born in the heart of Iowa and now proudly calling South Dakota home, I am a dedicated educator with a passion for making a positive impact on young minds.
My journey in education began with a solid foundation as I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of South Dakota, with a minor in Reading. Armed with this knowledge, I have embarked on a career that has seen me teach Math & Reading Intervention, 2nd grade, and now leading me into the vibrant world of 3rd grade.
Beyond the classroom, I find my greatest joys in spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book (& drinking coffee), and spending time outdoors.
One of my guiding principles is beautifully captured in my favorite quote: “Teaching that impacts is not head-to-head but heart to heart.” It is a testament to my belief in the power of education to touch not just the mind, but also the soul.
I am thrilled to be a part of Terry Redlin and the Sioux Falls School District. The start of the school year has been nothing short of amazing, and I am eagerly anticipating the incredible achievements that lie ahead for my students.
