Vanden Wyngaard

I was born and raised in the Wisconsin Dairyland, but recently moved to South Dakota within the last year to pursue my love for teaching and passion for working with children.

I attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, earning a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education. There, I learned the ins and outs of what it means to be a soulful, authentic, and driven teacher which I heavily pride myself on every day.

Outside of the classroom, I find much happiness in running, hiking, and seeing as much of the world as I can. I have traveled to countless states within the country, where I have explored many cultures and ways of life. I absolutely cherish the time I spend with my friends and family!

My why- I want to be that somebody to someone. Somebody who cares if they are kind to others, somebody who cares when they make a mistake, and I want to be somebody who students know they can go to if they need to be loved.

My first year teaching has been nothing short of amazing, and I am honored to be working at Terry Redlin, and within the Sioux Falls School District. I am ambitious to continue watching my students flourish academically, emotionally, and socially.

I’ve found what I’m meant to do, and I am lucky to share it with all of you. SOAR on Eagles!
